1) Take sections of the "Purpose and goals of the Alaska ANSS Regional Working Group" and write 1-2 page strawman papers defining specific goals. These goals must be closed-ended so that progress can be measured against them.
Goal 1 - B. Page - "To enhance the timely delivery of earthquake information to emergency response personnel, engineers, and scientists through improved earthquake monitoring on the ground and in important structures"Goal 2 - N. Biswas - To improve earthquake monitoring and reporting in Alaska through effective cooperation and collaboration among government agencies, academic institutions, and public and private institutions that engage in earthquake monitoring.
Goal 3 - T. Sokolowski - To implement an outreach program and improve the technology transfer to professional, technical, and public communities.
Goal 4 - R. Hansen - To foster the modernization of the current seismic monitoring infrastructure within Alaska.
Goal 5 - R. Hansen - To enhance the national standardization of archival and distribution of seismic data.
2) Begin writing a charter for the Alaska ANSS Regional Working
Group that includes a mission, vision statement, and goals with measures
of success.
3) Get Alaska ANSS webpage up and running.
4) Draft committee proposal for funding for travel to and from Working
Group meetings.
